The very exciting decision has now been taken to hold a Six Pilgrims Flower Festival on 28th and 29th May this year and plans are gathering momentum all the time.

The idea is that while the Festival will be held at Holy Cross, Babcary, all six parishes will be represented and involved and hopefully it will be a big fund-raiser for the benefit of all.

In addition to the Festival itself which will be held in the church, there will be additional attractions such as an All Day Breakfast in The Hut on Saturday 28th ; possibly a Preview party on the evening of Friday 27th with music; guided walks through the wildflowers and orchids in Babcary water meadows; sales of books, cards, plants ; bell-ringing ; a Silent Auction of the flowers themselves ; a church service in Babcary on Sunday and refreshments also available on Sunday.

A committee has now been formed to run this but we would appeal to everyone in all six parishes to volunteer as a helper for the event itself.

We will need help with the following :

Flower arranging, stewarding, car parking, refreshments, sales, bell-ringing, silent auction, moving chairs (pews), in and out of the church over the weekend and of course, clearing up afterwards.

If you could give even a few hours of your time, it would be much appreciated.   Please can you contact Nicky Llewellyn 01458-223524 or 07966-173277 to register your interest initially.

Would you or your business be interested in sponsoring this event ?  We are hoping to attract a great deal of interest and many visitors over the weekend and there are opportunities to sponsor the event at various levels.  Again, please contact Nicky for further information or Email.
